What flavour is PH
All of the PH products have a light citrusy flavour. Thousands of athletes have tested PH and the feedback is always Positive. PH electrolyte supplements have been designed to be very easy to drink, even during intense exercise.
The different colours and numbers on each product’s packaging represent the different amounts of sodium contained in each. Ranging from 250mg per litre of sweat up to the whopping 1,500 mg/l
(Please not That the sweat salt capsules are designed to be swallowed whole with water and do not possess the light citrusy flavour)
Where is Precision hydration made?
The all-natural drink mixes are made in the U.K
The Effervescent tablets are made in Germany and the U.K
The Sweatsalt Capsules are also made in the U.K
What’s in the Ph 500 / PH 1000 / PH 1500 all-natural drink mixes?
Our all-natural drink mixes contain just 8 natural ingredients.
The key ingredient is Sodium and in the all natural range, This comes from Sodium Citrate, which is alkaline and therefore much easier to drink in larger volumes and it is more suitable for absorption when exercising for longer hotter durations. This is a massive positive if you suffer from GI issues on those longer hotter Days and events when you are taking on more fluids.
The drink mixes also contain base amounts of Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium. This means that the base amounts are similar to the low amounts found in low levels in human sweat.
Unless you have a deficiency in these electrolytes, you need not worry so much about them. Its the sodium that is the most important when staying hydrated and this is the real deal when training and working hard as the sodium is the main electrolyte that makes up our sweat ( alongside water) Hence the salty taste.
There is also some citric acid and vitamin C, Just to provide a smooth taste and improve the stability of the products when they are stored in your cupboards before use.
The light citrus taste comes solely from natural fruit extracts ; The glucose comes from simple cane sugar.
There are NO artificial or synthetic ingredients in the all-natural drink mixes. This is important to us here at advanced lifestyle training as we and as many athletes are seeking to minimise these nasties from the diets.
The PH drinks are suitable for vegetarians and vegans and they’re gluten, dairy and GMO free. PH have followed the basic principle that they have only put in the necessities to make useful and great tasting hydration drinks!
The all-natural drink mixes are also sport / informed choice certified and tested, so you don’t need to worry about containing anything open on the WADA anti-doping list.
What’s in the 500 /1000 /1500 Effervescent Tablets ( in the Tubes)

Why is it important to personalise your hydration strategy?
Personalising your hydration plan is the reason I love what I do and what we can achieve as humans!!
Please allow me to give 5 very important reasons why you need a hydration plan..
• Everyone loses a different amount of sodium in their sweat, from as little as 200mg/l into an amazing 2,000mg/l!! The amount of sweat we lose is genetically determined! That is why there is a no one size fits all approach to hydration, it just doesn’t work.
• Most electrolyte supplements contain 200-500mg of sodium per litre, whereas a Shearer or triathlete loses about 950mg/l!!
• Maintaining sodium levels in your blood is crucial to performing at your best shearing, Triathlon or any gruelling endurance events or training days.
• Sodium helps you absorb and retain fluid, Which keeps your blood volume up, reducing cardiovascular strain, fatigue and cramp.
• Just drinking water when sweating over long periods dilutes your sodium levels, which can really impact your performance and could lead to Hyponatremia.
Why is sodium crucial in performing at your best?
Your Body is made up of lots of water 50-70% actually, depending on the amount of muscle and fat you have! Around a third of that water exists outside the cells, in extracellular fluids like your blood.
The main electrolyte in your extracellular fluid is sodium and much of your sodium reserves are found there in your extracellular fluids. This makes it rather “ Salty” and the total volume of extracellular fluid in your body is directly related to the amount of sodium you have on board at any given time. So, More sodium = more fluid; Less sodium = less fluid
As well as maintaining fluid balance, sodium plays an important role in the absorption of nutrients in the gut, maintaining cognitive function, nerve impulse transmission and in muscle contraction. Basically its bloody important to our Concentration, Digestion and allowing our muscles to go Harder, Stronger for Longer.
When you combine differences in sodium concentration with those in sweat rates, the potential in variance in the total net sodium losses experienced from one athlete to another can be really significant.
It’s impossible to nail down the exact point at which sodium (and fluid) loss becomes a problem for an athlete. But, it’s clear that when losses reach a certain point, the effects can be detrimental to your performance.
Your blood volume is gradually reduced as your sweat losses increase. That’s because sweat is drawn from your blood plasma. This increases the strain on Your cardiovascular system, making it harder to pump blood to your skin to cool you down and to your working muscles.
The two main inputs that drive your personal net sodium losses are:
1. The total amount you sweat. This is a factor of your sweat rate and the number of hours you spend sweating during any given timeframe.
2) Your sweat sodium concentration

Why do I Cramp during exercise? How can I avoid Cramp?
A number of things can cause exercise related muscle cramps, including sodium depletion.
If your Cramps tend to occur during/after heavy sweating, in hot weather or towards the back end of a working day, training session or an event, try upping your sodium intake in the hours immediately before, during and after a big day in the shearing sheds or an endurance race.
PH 1500 is an all-natural electrolyte drink mix with 1,500mg of sodium per litre. 1500 provides 3X more sodium than traditional supplements. Drinking a serving the night before a days shearing or a race and 90 minutes before the Start of a days shearing or endurance event boosts your blood plasma volume, helping reduce fatigue as well as avoiding cramp
89% of Athletes who tried PH 1500 said it solved their cramping issues in a recent survey held by PH headquarters
